When: Saturday 7/6/2025 (9.30am -3.30pm)

Level: Intermediate

We recommend to do Beginners sewing workshop first if you are not confident in using your sewing machine yet & ideally you already have some experience in dressmaking.

In this workshop we look at the different uses of zips and pockets and how to sew them. We will also learn to sew buttonholes using your presser foot for this.

This workshop focuses on the construction elements where we make samples and gain confidence and practice in our skills.

What you will learn:

  • How to insert the following zips including an Invisible zipper
  • How to make pockets: Patch pocket, in seam pocket & welt pocket
  • Make buttonholes

To bring:

  • your Sewing machine (including your pedal and lead! don’t forget all your accessories that came with your machine plus bobbins)
  • Sewing kit – with the following, pins, scissors, stitch ripper, etc
  • An invisible zipper foot for your sewing machine
  • Buttonhole foot for your machine

What’s Included:

  • Zippers, Buttons, fabric
  • Tea, coffee, and biscuits to keep you energized and fuelled

You might want to bring some packed lunch for your little lunch break too as biscuits might not be enough to keep you going.
