Expanding & Moving My Sewing Business to The Clay Factory in Ivybridge
Big changes are happening — I’m thrilled to announce that my sewing business is moving to a brand-new home at The Clay Factory, Redlake Trading Estate, Ivybridge (PL21 0EZ). This move isn’t just about a change of address — it’s about creating more space, more opportunities, and a more welcoming environment for everyone who loves sewing as much as I do.
More Room to Sew, Learn, and Create
One of the biggest benefits of moving to The Clay Factory is the extra space. This means my sewing workshops will now be bigger, brighter, and more comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and really enjoy the process of making. With more space, I’ll be able to run more workshops, welcoming more people into the world of sewing and giving each person the breathing room they need to flourish.
New Social Sewing Events
Alongside my workshops, I’m excited to introduce Social Sewing Events. These will be relaxed sessions where you can bring along your own projects, use the space, and enjoy sewing in the company of others. No guidance, no pressure — just a welcoming space to work at your own pace, share ideas, and be part of a creative community.
Expanding My Services
This move also allows me to grow the services I can offer. I’ll now have the capacity to take on:
- Basic upholstery projects
- A wider range of sewing services
- Faster turnaround for alterations and repairs
This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and The Clay Factory finally gives me the facilities to make it happen.

The Clay Factory is easy to get to, just off the A38, and has plenty of free parking — so whether you’re coming for a class, a social event, or to drop off some alterations, you’ll find it simple and stress-free.
