Stop paying for simple uniform repairs and learn the essential sewing skills every parent should know. In this practical, beginner-friendly workshop you’ll learn how to tackle the most common school uniform jobs with confidence. You are welcome to bring your teenage child so they can learn to look after their own uniform.
You’ll learn how to:
- Sew on school badges and name tapes securely
- Replace missing buttons
- Repair split seams before they become bigger problems
- Shorten school trousers or skirts correctly
- Sew simple hems by hand
Duration: 2 hours
Suitable for: Complete beginners
Class size: Maximum 8 students for plenty of individual help.
What to bring: Bring along a school uniform item if you’d like to practise on your own clothing, or use the materials provided.
🍪 No previous sewing experience is needed and no equipment is required.
By the end of the session you’ll have the confidence to deal with everyday uniform repairs at home and save money throughout the school year.
