Great workshop, highly recommended. I have always wanted to learn to sew so eventually I treated myself to a Singer sewing machine. Took it to the workshop (still in it’s box and wrappings) and came away with a great little bag which I made myself. Looking forward to the next workshop.

I attended the Beginners class at the beginning of March and absolutely loved it. It was fantastic to walk away having made something on my machine! Beforehand, I wasn’t even threading it properly! Since the class, I’ve been inspired and enthused to just have a go at some home projects using the stitches and techniques taught. I’ve made cushions, hooded towels, stuffed toys and even a sleeping bag for my baby. I highly recommend Magda and these classes for anyone wanting to get started or increase their confidence with sewing!

Brilliant course. Great teacher in a lovely environment. I learnt so much and came away with a lovely bag. Will be looking out for more courses as I would like to learn how to do button holes and how to put in zips.

When we needed some pretty curtains for Molly, Magda came up with a gorgeous design incorporating Molly’s favourite butterflies and flowers using buttons and embroidery with pom pom edging. It’s gorgeous and really well-made. Highly recomended.

I learnt so much with Magda on this course.I initially did the sewing basics then straight into the Soft Furnishings Course. Magda soon makes you feel confident and at ease.The teaching is relaxed, friendly, fun and enjoyable. Every question is answered with a clear explanation, I have learnt so much. I love the sample curtain and blind I made. A clear reminder of the skills I have learnt, without the expense of buying metres of fabric. I love my new scatter cushions and can’t wait to make more. A really well thought out course. I would highly recommend Sewansome.

Magda made the covers for all the cushions in our lounge. They are perfectly finished and put together. Would certainly return to Magda for further soft furnishings.

Took the beginner’s sewing course as I only have a small amount of sewing experience and wanted to make sure I was getting the basics right. Magda was really friendly and went through everything from the essential tools needed and simple stitches to making a little bag as a project. It was really encouraging to be able to make something in the class and I left feeling a lot more confident. The whole workshop was a lot of fun, I’ll definitely be doing another one soon!

I am extremely grateful to Magda for making me 2 pairs of very large curtains plus very lengthy pelmet! Good advice was given, and Magda measured-up for the job, and I felt very confident in her ability and knowledge. I was right to – because she has done a very good job of making these curtains for me. She is a most professional and competent woman, and her prices are very good. I recommend her highly. (She even came and hung the curtains for me…..a job that I hate!!!) Looking forward now to going on one of her courses!

I found Magda’s website on the internet. I didn’t read any of the reviews, but contacted her to ask if she would shorten some new eyelet curtains for me. She did an excellent job and only took two days from receiving them to collection. My first experience of this delightful couple and both of their companies was with the very proactive to curtain alterations which I needed done accurately, professionally and under a tight time pressure. I was very impressed with Magda’s energy and enthusiasm and ‘can do’ attitude to the request. Fitting me around a number of clients in a busy period my curtains were ready before the date initially suggested and the results were first class in every respect.
