Kids’ Sewing Workshop – Make Your Own corded Bag!
Get your child ready for a creative adventure! In this fun, beginner-friendly workshop designed just for children aged 9 and up, kids will learn how to safely use a sewing machine and create their very own bag.
This workshop is specially tailored for kids (sorry, no adults this time!) and focuses on building confidence, creativity, and basic sewing skills without being overly technical. By the end, your child will be able to manage a sewing machine independently and start making small projects of their own.
What your child will gain:
- Hands-on experience with a sewing machine
- A fun and practical handmade bag
- The confidence to start sewing small items independently
- A foundation for exploring sewing further

What to bring: sewing machine (if you got one) and 0.5m of fabric your child would like (or old piece of clothing big enough to cut up and make into a bag). Cord will be provided.
🍪 What’s Included
All workshop materials can be provided for an extra £5 and machine can be hired at £10, so your child just needs to bring along a small refreshment or their favourite drink. I’ll have tea, water, and biscuits available to keep everyone comfortable and happy while they sew. PLEASE SELECT THE CORRECT FIELD WHEN BOOKING
If you don’t yet own a sewing machine, but would like to buy one, please take a look at my Sewing Machine Buying Guide before purchasing one. Choosing the right machine makes all the difference – an unsuitable one can be discouraging and slow down the sewing journey.
👉 Please note: toy or child sewing machines under £80 are not suitable for this workshop, and unfortunately, I cannot accept them. You must ensure the machine is in good working order to avoid disappointment.
