SEWING STRAIGHT LINES
I recommend practising on lined paper with no thread in, use only needle. Make sure your stitch is set to quite long one, otherwise it would cut through the paper. I strongly recommend you to slow down. When first sewing, it’s always a good idea to do it as slowly as it takes for you to be able to do it correctly. And as it becomes more familiar to you, you will naturally be faster and faster, but with the same great results! For most sewing it is a good idea to line up the presser foot with the edge of the fabric. If this is not possible because you need wider seam for example find something else you use as a guide. I use masking tape for exaple that I stick onto the machine where I want my guide to be. Most machines have a plate with engraved lines that are great guide.
