Saturday 30/6/18 (10am-4pm)
Join this sewing workshop to make your own pair of trousers. You will get your own pattern to use, just bring your sewing machine, all necessary presser feet, notions and material you wish to use. You need to know how to use your sewing machine already and have some basic sewing knowledge. Our Beginners workshop is recommended first.
Please, be careful when looking for your size; always check measurements at the back to match your sizes (dont go by your dress size you usually buy but by your own measurements). Read this back of the pattern to find your size and quantity of material you would need plus other notions.
Slim fitting, ankle grazing and flattering for so many figures, the Ultimate Trousers will be your go-to trouser pattern.
With no tricky fly to contend with, the Ultimate Trousers fasten with an invisible side zip. The waistline is finished with a facing and the trousers are machine hemmed. Made up of only four pattern pieces it’s hard to go wrong.
We recommend a medium to heavy weight woven fabric such as cotton, wool, crepe or denim for this pattern. Anything with a small amount of stretch (around 3%) will make for an extra comfy fit. For a loose, summery look you could also try rayon or other lightweight drapey fabric. You will also need a 9″ invisible zip.
The Ultimate Trousers sewing pattern comes in UK sizes 8-20. See the chart for details on fabric requirements.
To bring: your sewing machine, thread, shears, pins, material and notions and dont forget your zipper presser foot (ideally one for invisible zip) .
Provided: tea, coffee, biscuits, lunch with small glass of light wine 🙂
