Shipping Payment

We process our payments through Paypal, a safe, fast, and secure way to pay for your online purchases. You don’t need a Paypal account to use Paypal.


Items will be sent to your payment address unless you inform us of an alternative delivery address. ‘sewansome’ currently only ships to the Mainland England.

Postage is FREE for our haberdashery products. For all fabrics flat rate of £13 postage applies; FREE postage on orders over £500.

Delivery will be made using Royal Mail 2nd Class post or Parceforce for bigger items. All fabrics ordered will be supplied to you directly from the manufacturer usin their delivery provider.

Your products will be carefully packaged to ensure they arrive to you in perfect condition. Please consider reusing your packaging to help the environment. If you place an order for a custom item we will contact you to inform you of accurate shipping schedules. We normally ship on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Once we have received payment we will package your item ready for the next dispatch day. For custom orders we will be in touch with you after we receive your order to discuss your requirements and then let you know the likely shipping date. We use 2nd Class Royal Mail which should take 2-5 working days. If you are in a particular hurry for your item you can upgrade from the usual shipping service at extra cost. Please email in such case.
Returns & Refunds

We are sorry but due to the individuality of design service, we are not able to offer refunds on custom items. For off-the-shelf items we can offer refunds/exchanges although you will be responsible for return postage. We will only refund or exchange items if they are in an unused and suitable condition. We recommend sending the item back using a secure delivery method such as Royal Mail’s Recorded Delivery service. That way you will be able to check when your returned items have been received by us. Items are customers responsibility until they are received by us, and SEWANSOME cannot accept liability for items lost or damaged in the post. If you have any problems with your order then please just contact us and we will always do our best to resolve the issue. In all instances, please be sure to contact us within 7 days of receipt of the item. (We also love to hear from happy customers, particularly if we have created a custom item for you!).

Sewansome is not liable for 3d party deliveries but we will be happy to chase it for you and sort out any necessary returns. Any fabric ordered must be checked by you prior cutting. Any fabric that was cut already cant be returned and refunded.

Workshops and sewing lessons

Unfortunately, due to the limited number of places available, we are not able to offer refunds on sewing workshops, group sewing lessons, or gift vouchers. However, we appreciate that life gets in the way sometimes so if for any reason you can’t attend, the workshop can be rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours notice. All 1-2-1 lessons are organized at arranged times and no refund is given. Gift vouchers are valid for the time stated on the voucher. If for any reason it is not possible to use it at the stated time, or you wish to transfer the voucher to someone else, this can be arranged at the discretion of sewansome.
