Curtains

All made to measure curtains are made to your exact requirements for domestic or commercial use (hotels, B&Bs, pubs, bars, restaurants, boats, vans). You can choose from lined, unlined, blackout or interlined curtains. The top of the curtains can have simple pleats, French pleats, goblet pleats, tabs or eyelets. You can provide your curtain material, or I can source it, I’ll supply the high quality lining material, interlining or blackout Lining. I am using only proven high quality materials. Anything for commercial use has appropriate treatments. Made to mesure Roman blinds all have all safety devices required by law.

How to Measure for Curtains

Width – Do not measure the window. Measure your track or pole from end to end excluding finials.
Drop – Before you measure your drop, decide if you want your curtain to be floor length, sill length or above the sill.
For tracks – Measure from the top of the track.
For poles – Measure from the hook of the curtain ring and add 2cm so that the curtain can cover the hook. For eyelet curtains, measure from the top of the pole.

Roman Blinds

Custom roman blinds are made to your exact requirements once you provide the material and dimensions.

How to Measure for Blinds (include images)

Inside a window recess – If you want your blind positioned in the window recess, measure the width of the recess measured at the top, middle and bottom (plaster work is not always even, and measurements may vary. This will prevent the blind from rubbing).
Outside a window recess – If you want your blind positioned outside the window recess, measure the recess and add 5 – 8cm.

Cushions

Cushions can be square, rectangular, bolster, boxed or round; they can be plain, piped, flanged, frilled, boxed or regular throw cushions with zips or buttons. Any finish and look is possible. I make cushions for homes, hotels, B&Bs, boats, campers and more.

All materials for commercial environement have necessary fire retardant treatments and all necessary tests relevant for their use.

Curtain eyelet services

At the moment, we fit 25mm and 40mm diameter eyelets. These fit most standard poles. Cost per eyelet including the fitting is £2.50 – £3.50 for 25mm and £3-£4 for 40mm. You need between 8-10 eyelets per width of curtain. Remember, making up of curtains is on top of eyelet fitting. Please enquire for further information. Metal eyelets are significantly stronger and more robust than the plastic eyelets. This means that there is no danger of the eyelet coming apart once fitted.
