When you think of having curtains made, take into account amount of fabric you need, lining and work. It all adds up. More gathered curtains, more fabric you would need, bigger the pattern, more fabric you would need to have pattern matching. I dont recommend using cheap fabrics, they wont last long enough and their print is usually not straight which makes it difficult for making it look straight. Abstract pattern is easier in that case. I now offer any type of curtains – pencil pleat, French pleat – pinch pleat, tab heading and eyelet curtains. I work with the fabric you bring or I can recommend some suppliers. I am happy to insert eyelets to any curtains you might already have made too (at the moment sizes of eyelets available are 25mm and 40mm).
Sometimes, the best option if to recycle old curtains. You can often revive old curtains but changing the heading, shortening them, adding the border etc. For your information materials for curtains start at £10 per meter (that is mega cheap and not good quality type of fabric). I use good quality poly cotton linings or blackout lining and also offer interlined curtains (and blinds) when you need them to give also warmth and good insulation.
